The Ross Sheppard Cheer Teams have had a very exciting and successful year in 2009 and we are looking forward to the start of the 2010 season. With the Large Varsity team taking 2 nd place honours at the ASAA Provincials, 1 st place at the annual RIBT Invitational and qualifying at USA Nationals in Anaheim , California . Our Small Varsity team was able to take first place in both the Edmonton Zone and ASAA Provincials as well as qualifying in USA Nationals in Anaheim , California . Our season ended in Anaheim with both of our teams doing exceptionally well. The Small Varsity team advanced to the finals and placed 5 th – this is the first time an Alberta team has made it to the finals in this prestigious tournament. The Large Varsity team failed to advance to the finals. We also had highlights this year of having our second annual Charity Cheer Classic where we raised money and food for the food bank and hosted our largest Ross Sheppard Cheer Championship in it six year history.
