Sport Performance 15/25/35 Golf & Hockey Skills Academies Sports Medicine 15/25/35


These courses are created to provide students with the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to understand the wide range of factors related to athletic performance in a variety of sports. A combination of theoretical and practical exposure to a variety of areas of sport will allow students to learn and demonstrate outcomes related to proper training principles, ethics, psychology, goal setting, and personal development. These skills will not only contribute to sport performance, but will also help to shape a productive, caring citizen of our community in the future.

These courses are designed to provide students to learn and practice the game of golf and the sport of hockey. Students in each Academy will receive instruction from certified PGA & CHSA Instructors on the fundamentals of the sport specific skills, mental game, and tactical situations. Students will have further opportunity to develop personally through strength and conditioning throughout the term of their course.


This course is designed to provide students with an opportunity to learn a wide variety of skills, knowledge and attitudes regarding the immediate care, prevention and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. By combining theory and practical exposures to areas of sports, students will learn about sports medicine through the study of common athletic injuries, basic anatomy & physiology, and performance enhancement tools. Students will also be expected to demonstrate knowledge, skills and attitudes relative to the operation of training facilities.
